Our collagen is Non-GMO Project verified and comes from wild, sustainably caught fish. The fish used for our product are caught for human consumption and the scales are used for TruMarine™ Collagen. Sustainable seafood is caught in a way that doesn’t harm the environment or other species, and are conscious of the issue of overfishing.  

withinUs TruMarine™ Collagen is broken down by a natural enzymatic process (no heat, acid, or chemicals), leaving 100% ultra-pure marine collagen. We ensure that our product is carefully tested and screened for all metals, including mercury. 

In comparison to other collagen sources, TruMarine™ Collagen (derived solely from fish scales) has fewer impurities. Other collagen sources contain more impurities which ultimately affects the quality as well as the taste and smell. withinUs TruMarine Collagen is virtually tasteless and odourless, and is in a pure powder form - making it easy to add into hot or cold liquids without affecting the flavour. Many other collagen products are lower quality which affects the taste, which is the reason flavors, sweeteners or colors are added.

The hydrolyzation process that withinUs TruMarine™ Collagen undergoes is an important process that ensures maximum absorption, allowing your body to utilize as much of the product as possible.

Enzymatic hydrolization is a process that utilizes enzymes, rather than harsh acids and heat, to break down the scales. This process breaks the product down to a low molecular weight - 3000-5000 Daltons - which makes it highly bioavailable. High bioavailability is extremely important for a supplement as it is an indication of how well the product is absorbed by the body.

Other popular consumable sources of collagen, including - bone broth, cartilage and fish skin - have a much higher molecular weight, making it difficult for the body to break down and absorb. These alternative products have a lower bioavailability than TruMarine™ Collagen.
