Try this delicious functional mocktail at your next social gathering. Mocktails, or non-alcoholic cocktails are growing in popularity over the last few years.

One of the main reasons for the rise of mocktails is the increasing focus on health and wellness. As people adopt a healthier lifestyles they are choosing to limit or abstain from alcohol altogether.  At withinUs, we also see the benefit of having non-alcoholic beverages, but that also provides a function (TruMarine Collagen, healthy fats from organic coconut milk etc) vs a high in sugar "mocktail" that is mostly juice.

As more people educate themselves and prioritize health and wellness, functional mocktails will grow in popularity, offering a delicious and nutritious alternative to traditional cocktails.

withinUs Coconut Creamsicle Mocktail

Sweetened coconut flakes for rim of glass
2 Tbs withinUs coconut creamer & 2 Tbs hot water (mix/blend well) *adjust to taste 
1 Tbs fresh lime juice
1 Tbs agave
3 Tbs coconut water (not from concentrate is best) 
1 Tbs freshly-squeezed orange juice

 

Garnish with a rosemary sprig

Rim a cocktail glass in agave and coconut flakes (you can blend the coconut flakes to get a powdery consistency, if desired).

Let the coconut-rimmed glass chill in the freezer while you make the mocktail.

Combine fresh lime juice, agave, coconut creamer mixture, coconut water, freshly- squeezed orange juice to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice.

Shake until cold and strain over ice into your prepared glass.


Optional:  Squeeze some  lime juice over the rosemary sprig and dip it into the coconut flakes for garnish.
