withinUs to Give: Supporting Our Community
At withinUs, giving back to our community is part of the foundation upon which our brand was built. While creating premium wellness products is at the heart of what we do, we have always believed true wellness goes beyond physical health. It also includes supporting the people and communities around us.
Through our withinUs to Give program, we were proud to support over 20 charitable organizations, helping contribute to meaningful causes that align with our values and mission.
One of the partnerships we were especially honoured to be part of was with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. For three consecutive years, our Founder, Tami Nasu, participated in the Women for Wishes campaign. This initiative brought women together to raise funds and help grant life-changing wishes for children facing critical illness.
We are incredibly grateful to have played a role in helping bring hope, joy, and healing to families during their most challenging times.
A Child’s Wish: Matty’s Story
One of the most powerful reminders of the impact a wish can have is the story of 14-year-old Matty. A passionate baseball fan and player, Matty’s life changed suddenly when he was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. Despite undergoing multiple rounds of chemotherapy, surgeries, and radiation, Matty’s resilience never wavered.
We had the privilege of speaking with Matty’s mother to understand better how his wish impacted their entire family. Matty’s heartfelt wish to return to the baseball diamond became a reality when he threw the first pitch at a Toronto Blue Jays game in May 2023. The moment was unforgettable. Surrounded by his family and thousands of cheering fans, Matty was able to experience something extraordinary, defined not by illness but by the joy of the game he has always loved.
For Matty, this wish was not just a single day of happiness. It was a symbol of hope, strength, and resilience. It reminded him, and everyone around him, that even in the hardest moments, dreams can still come true.
